Rudi Bauer
Multipercussion Artist & Coach
Rudi Bauer studied classical percussion at the University of Music and Theater in Munich. He masters a huge number of percussion instruments and his skills cover an enormous musical range from classical to pop to avant-garde. His concert tours took him around the entire globe, from the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg to the Oriental Art Center in Shanghai to the venerable Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. As a soloist and chamber musician he has been a guest at numerous international music festivals such as the Hong Kong Drum Festival, the Salzburg Festival and the New Music Festival St. Petersburg. He is also a regular juror at drum competitions at home and abroad. Since 2019 he has been a lecturer of percussion at the University of Music and Theater in Munich.
